Creativity: Winnie The Pooh
Part of recovery is finding or rediscovering our voice and our joy again. Creative pursuits are often helpful in this endeavor. Using our creative juices helps build self-esteem and gets our minds working on things that fill our own cups instead of focusing on the failure of the relationship with the Narcissist.
We all have unique voices, of course. I have seen such creative energy on the forums over the years manifested in many different ways. My own personal outlet is writing and I particularly enjoy working on interpretations based on classic story and literature.
One of my explorations into story resulted in this collection of quotes from several of the "Winnie the Pooh" books by A.A. Milne which I compiled into a "H-E-A-L-I-N-G P-A-T-H" According to Pooh, just for fun. I love quotes and this was too hard to resist once I got started.
If you have your own creative bent, whether it be writing, music, art, cooking, decorating, or whatever your voice may be, I hope you share it on the forum. I believe that witnessing the creative power in each other helps us remember our own...and heal.

The 'Pooh' Healing Path
"H"
Hindsight
"I don't see much sense in that," said Rabbit.
"No," said Pooh humbly, "there isn't. But there was going to be when I began it. It's just that something happened to it along the way."”
"E"
Empathy
"A little Consideration, a little Thought for Others, makes all the difference."
"A"
Assurance
Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind. "Pooh," he whispered.
"Yes, Piglet?"
"Nothing," said Piglet, taking Pooh's paw, "I just wanted to be sure of you."”
"L"
Legacy
"If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart.. I'll always be with you.”
"I"
Insight
"Sometimes, if you stand on the bottom rail of a bridge and lean over to watch the river slipping slowly away beneath you, you will suddenly know everything there is to be known.”
"N"
Needs
"The hardest part is what to leave behind, ... It's time to let go!”
"G"
Growth
"Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there some day.”
"P"
Preparation
"Before beginning a Hunt, it is wise to ask someone what you are looking for before you begin looking for it.”
"A"
Action
“You can't stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.”
"T"
Telling Our Story
"When you are a Bear of Very Little Brain, and Think of Things, you find sometimes that a Thing which seemed very Thingish inside you is quite different when it gets out into the open and has other people looking at it."
"H"
Hope
"And by and by Christopher Robin came to an end of things, and he was silent, and he sat there, looking out over the world, just wishing it wouldn't stop."
