From The Wizard of Oz by Frank Baum

TinMan: "What have you learned, Dorothy?"

Dorothy: "Well, I - I think that it - it wasn't enough to just want to see Uncle Henry and Auntie Em - and it's that - if I ever go looking for my heart's desire again, I won't look any further than my own back yard. Because if it isn't there, I never really lost it to begin with! Is that right?"

Emotional trauma is complex, and recovery from that trauma is usually multi-faceted. Treatment includes attention to physical and mental/psychological/emotional care. For many, therapy is an option. Medications also can be helpful for anxiety or depression. Support groups, either realtime or online, offer understanding. Basic self-care: nutrition, medical checkups, and general attention to your own physical needs-- often these have been neglected and may need to be brought back into focus as well.

In addition, attention to renewal of our spirit is necessary. This section is geared toward those tools which can help bring us back 'home' again to our authentic selves.

Click 3 times and enjoy this section dedicated to The Target's Ruby Slippers, the tools of our spiritual recovery.
